By studying a curriculum that blends Western and Indigenous healing paradigms, you\u2019ll learn to cultivate community wellbeing through evidence-based practices, social service programs, and human-service policies. In addition to core courses, the curriculum features:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>900 hours of clinical fieldwork\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A cultural immersion experience, either on campus or in your own community\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two available program tracks\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two available focus areas\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Program tracks and focus areas\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two available tracks for the online MSW program:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Traditional Track:<\/strong> This <strong>57-credit<\/strong> track is for you if you hold a bachelor\u2019s degree in any field other than social work, or if you earned your bachelor\u2019s in social work (BSW) more than five years ago. The Traditional Track can be completed in <strong>18 months full time<\/strong> or <strong>36 months part time<\/strong>.&nbsp; <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Advanced Standing Track: <\/strong>This <strong>30-credit <\/strong>track is for you if you earned your BSW from an accredited four-year program within the past five years. The Advanced Track can be completed in <strong>12 months full time<\/strong> or <strong>24 months part time<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To help you prepare to serve the communities that matter most to you, we also offer two focus areas:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pacific and Original Nations Orientation (PONO):<\/strong> This focus builds on foundation-year courses to further promote social work practice through a multifocal, decolonial lens. You\u2019ll take an interdisciplinary approach to understanding social work practice that incorporates both Indigenous and Western perspectives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Military and Veterans Affairs:<\/strong> This focus prepares you to assess, and treat active-duty military members, veterans, and military family members while navigating the nuances of social work practice within local, state, and federal government programs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Online learning experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the online MSW program, you\u2019ll find an intuitive and flexible platform designed for real people with real lives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Attend weekly face-to-face classes <\/strong>that facilitate enriching engagement with peers and faculty\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Complete interactive assignments<\/strong> using a customizable platform\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Access full-spectrum career services<\/strong> from interview prep to salary resources\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Connect with a student success advisor<\/strong> who will support you throughout the program\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Admissions and career outlook<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants must hold at least a bachelor\u2019s degree. The Traditional Track is for non-BSW holders, while the Advanced Standing Track is for candidates who have earned a BSW from an accredited, four-year program within the past five years.
